Government and Public Authority Data Requests Policy

Content Circuit will follow these procedures when receiving requests for user data from government agencies or other public authorities.

1. Legal review. All requests will be reviewed for legal validity before any user information is disclosed. Qualified legal counsel will be consulted where appropriate.
2. Challenging unlawful requests. If a request appears unlawful, invalid, or excessively broad, Content Circuit will seek legal advice and evaluate available options to challenge, narrow, or object to the request before disclosing data, to the extent permitted by law.
3. Data minimization. Content Circuit will disclose only the minimum user information legally required to satisfy a valid request.
4. Documentation. Content Circuit will maintain a secure record of requests received, the requesting authority, legal basis, review decisions, responses, disclosures, and any challenges made.
5. User notification. Where legally permitted and appropriate, Content Circuit will notify affected users of requests for their information.
